About the Role:

As a CBRE Assistant Facilities Manager you will support the operations and maintenance of a portfolio of seven properties across multiple states.

This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.

What You’ll Do:
  • Coordinate with trades personnel on maintenance tasks, corrective, and preventative.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
  • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
  • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
  • Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance (PM) programs and schedules.
  • Coordinate vendor and contractor services to ensure timely and high-quality execution.
  • Conduct regular site visits (up to twice per month, as needed) to monitor safety compliance and maintenance standards.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of PM programs and operational processes.
  • Manage operational and capital expenditure (OPEX and CAPEX) projects within budget and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure vendor performance aligns with contractual obligations and service expectations.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and report maintenance activities.
  • Initiate and follow up on incident reports, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Will require travel to sites in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Michigan, Ohio, and Illinois twice per month depending on need.
What you’ll need:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedent.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Proven experience in facilities management or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and contractor/vendor management
  • Familiarity with CMMS platforms and maintenance tracking tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing multiple properties or a regional portfolio.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically by air and manage multiple site responsibilities.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Assistant Facilities Manager position is $75,000 annually [or $36.06 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Assistant Facilities Manager position is $90,000 annually [or $43.27 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.  Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
